In my neighborhood in Queens, every Thursday we get our store circulars with coupons! I took all three of mine in because there's a $2 off coupon for Playtex Tampons 18ct box. For the ladies, tampons are not cheap and as an extreme couponer these days you will rarely find a freebie deal on Playtex Tampons. $1 is the lowest, I've seen all year so definately a good time to stock up. In fact, this week Rite Aid is having a sale where if you have coupon it will be:
3.99
-$2 off MFC
1.99 OPP (out of pocket money spent)
Plus a $1 up rewards for your next store purchase (as good as cash)
Making your final tally $.99 + NYC tax
You could totally make this a freebie if you use your $1 off anything Video Values Coupon too!
Speaking of Video Values, there's also a Video Coupon for Carefree Pantiliners. If you use that you'll end up paying $1 for two packs.
To reduce the amount of OPP (out of pocket $) you spend, its better to break the tampon transaction up. For example, buy and pay $1.99 OPP and then get your $1 up reward. And buy again and use that last $1 up reward (since they do typically expire in 2 weeks) and this time you'll pay $.99. And you can do this again with the next $1 up reward. And then for your last transaction you can do the Carefree Liners deal and just pay tax. If you do it this way your OPP for 2 tampons and 2 panty liners will be 2.98 plus tax and you'll have nore ups to roll over. Versus if you did it all together, you'd have $4.98 in OPP and 2 more ups you have to keep track of.
